While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to hide out in their Vancouver Island mansion, speculation continues on how life will play on for the pair after they officially step down from their senior royal roles.

One of the questions surrounding their move is what Meghan's mother will do, with suggestions she may move to Canada to be closer to the couple and her grandson.

Doria Ragland reportedly joined the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and their son Archie, for most of the couple's six-week break from royal duties last year, tagging along to their holiday in Canada.

It was also reported the yoga therapist was worried for her daughter and the impact the negativity from the press and public had on her, despite describing Meghan as a strong woman.

Regardless of whether Ragland moves to Canada to be closer to Meghan and Harry, a source has claimed the couple will never be too far from her, suggesting they may spend a lot of time in Los Angeles, where Ragland lives.

Reports suggest the Duke and Duchess want to spend the summer in the US city, where Meghan was born and raised, and that they are considering moving there.

The Duke and Duchess announced they intended to step down from their roles as senior members of the British royal family on January 8.

They since have moved to a highly secure mansion on the quiet Vancouver Island in British Columbia where, with the blessings of Her Majesty, they have begun to construct their new life and become financially independent from the monarchy.

There are talks of Meghan returning to her roots as an actress, with Harry having been caught on camera pitching his wife to the CEO of Disney for voiceover work last year.

Kim Kardashian's influencer company has also claimed the Sussexes are being represented by them, sharing a call out to brands who wish to pay for appearances. However, the palace has denied the claim.
