Catherine, Princess of Wales' upcoming Wimbledon appearance is a 'good sign', says expert
Many are viewing the Princess of Wales' surprise appearance at Wimbledon later today as a positive sign of her health.
Royal author Hugh Vickers told The Sun: "The presence of Catherine, Princess of Wales will just be the icing on the cake because everybody had been hoping so much that she would be well enough to attend.
"And we are told that she is still having treatment and so she has to take things day by day. She told us in the last message at the time of Trooping the Colour that she isn't out of the woods yet.

"So each appearance is a step forward, and I can't think of a better way of celebrating tomorrow than her being at Wimbledon."
The expert expects the audience will be "absolutely thrilled" with the royal's presence at the historic tennis tournament, adding, "In every possible way, it's a good sign.
"Rather than having to watch it at home, it's wonderful to think that she'll be in the royal box because we've rather missed her this year.
"And I gather that she will also present the trophy. So this is all very positive news."
Though Catherine's appearance was not expected this year amid her recovery from cancer treatment, it was still highly anticipated.
The royal opted out of a number of important engagements and events over 2024, including the royal family's Easter celebrations, the Colonel's Review, Hugh Grosvenor's wedding, and will even be missing out on Prince WIlliam's upcoming charity polo match.

She managed to get out and about with the royal family for Trooping the Colour after much anticipation from the public, for the first time in seven months.
At the time she said in a statement, that while she is "not out of the woods yet", that it is a "joy" for her to spend time "on the things that give me energy and positivity."
The royal is known for her love of the tennis, having been the patron for the All England tennis club since 2016.
