Prince Harry's real name isn't actually Harry

He’s one of the most talked about men in the world. But it turns out, we haven’t even been using his real name.

There is a lot we know about Prince Harry — the young royal has opened up about his mental health struggles, his mother’s death and even confirmed his relationship with American actress Meghan Markle.

But, you might be surprised to know that his real name isn't Harry — it's Henry.

The 32-year-old prince was born Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor. And, his official title is High Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales.

The name Henry has long been popular in the royal family, belonging to 12 former kings.

Harry is a nickname for Henry but he has been known as Harry since he was young.

But he isn’t the only one whose first name has slipped under the radar either.

It was recently revealed his girlfriend’s first name is not actually Meghan.

We’ve known her as Meghan Markle but it turns out her real name isn’t actually Meghan... it’s Rachel.

The Sun reports that Meghan was born as Rachel, but now goes by her middle name. Coincidentally, the character she plays in the series Suits is also named Rachel.

The public are now speculating as to what the couple call each other.

It seems likely that Meghan refers to Harry as the public does, but as of yet it is unclear whether Harry calls his girlfriend of nearly a year Meghan or Rachel.
