Prince Harry’s best friend told him not to marry Meghan

One of Prince Harry’s oldest and most trusted friends Tom ‘Skippy’ Inskip has reportedly been “banished” from the royal’s life.

Why exactly? According to Tatler, Harry’s best friend – or perhaps former best friend – expressed his doubts over the 34-year-old’s wedding to Meghan Markle last year, and that’s resulted in “banishment”.

Prior to their star-studded Windsor wedding in May 2018, Tom is said to have “advised Harry not to marry Meghan”.

The publication also reiterated previous claims Prince William was against his little brother marrying the former Suits star, which has reportedly caused a rift between the two siblings.

As for Tom, who has been friends with Harry since their days at Eton, expressing his thoughts about Meghan wasn’t the only thing that reportedly put him in the royal bad books.

The banker, who was by Harry’s side in 2012 during his infamous Las Vegas tryst, along with other members of the Duke of Sussex’s “old posse” have apparently slowly been pushed out by Meghan who is described as having a “core of steel”.

“Like several others who were considered a questionable influence on Harry during his bad old bachelor days, Tom has been dropped, even though he himself now has a lovely wife, Lara,” a royal friend allegedly told The Express last year.

“It’s all part of Meghan’s quiet airbrushing out of Harry’s old posse.

“She doesn’t want temptation – of any sort – being put in his way while they concentrate on starting a family.”

Meanwhile Tatler also reported royal staff have given Meghan a rather unflattering nickname.

The 37-year-old has been dubbed ‘Me-Gain’ by Kensington Palace staff due to her apparent self-serving nature.

Such negative headlines can’t be easy for the Duchess of Sussex, given that she’s due to give birth to her first child in a matter of weeks.
