Prince George and Princess Charlotte go on tour

At the ripe old ages of three and two respectively, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have just embarked on a tour of Poland and Germany.

First stop: Warsaw.

The two mini royals and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in the Polish capital on Monday afternoon.

As always, they looked picture-perfect - and if you look carefully, you’ll realise their outfits have a common theme.

The family of four gave a sartorial nod to Poland’s national colour, red, through Prince William’s tie, Catherine’s ruby necklace, Charlotte’s dress and George’s plaid shirt.

That’s von Trapp levels of coordinated family dressing right there.

Upon their arrival, the little prince and princess were welcomed with a gift of three Polish children’s books.

While Prince George didn't look overly excited about attending to his diplomatic duties - his unenthusiastic facial expressions have become something of a trademark - Charlotte was a little more obliging, offering a royal wave.

This is the second time the royals have toured internationally as a family of four.

Last year, they travelled to Canada for a week-long tour - you might recall this is where Princess Charlotte’s fascination with balloons became world-famous.

The Duke and Duchess announced their decision to take their children on the five-day tour of Poland and Germany last month.

“They have decided that their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will travel with them and we expect the children to be seen in at least a couple of occasions over the course of the week,” a spokesman said at the time.

“They look forward to a busy and impactful tour and are grateful that they will have the opportunity to meet the Polish and German people — such important friends of the United Kingdom — as a family.”

The family will travel to Germany on Wednesday.
