But one popular online trend says forget putting your best face forward. In fact, it wants your worst!

The Reddit page 'Pretty Girls Ugly Faces’ features photos of women sharing a ‘normal’ selfie alongside…well, let’s just say it’s not quite as flattering!

The women use goofy facial expressions to show just how weird all of our faces can look in photos and remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.

The page now has more than 46,000 subscribers and receives daily uploads from users - all sharing their funniest shots.

The ‘ugly’ photos all look incredibly different from the poster’s standard selfie. In fact, many look like a different person entirely, proving that nobody looks ‘picture perfect’ all the time.

It’s is exactly the refreshing reminder we need in the age of perfectly curated Instagram shots – for those days when you feel like everyone is more gorgeous than you. Instead of worrying about looking ‘perfect’, we can all have a bit of a laugh instead.
