Prince George and Princess Charlotte have very special jobs at Aunt Pippa's wedding

Duchess Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton will be accompanied down the aisle next month by two very special members of the wedding party.

Kensington Palace has confirmed Pippa's nephew and niece, Prince George and Princess Charlotte will have a starring role in the nuptials — as a page boy and a bridesmaid.

Pippa is set to marry hedge fund manager, and brother of Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, James Matthews in a small ceremony near the Middleton family home in Berkshire, UK. But Catherine won't return the favour as maid of honour at the ceremony.

A statement released by the Palace a few hours ago firmed up the date of the wedding, confirmed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be in attendance and revealed another royal guest.

"Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr. James Matthews are pleased to confirm their wedding will take place at St Mark's Church, Englefield, on the morning of 20th May", the palace said.

"The service will be attended by close family and friends, including The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

"Prince George will be a page boy, and Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid."

It's not clear if Prince Harry's girlfriend, actress Meghan Markle has also been invited. She's currently filming TV show, Suits in the US.

The statement dispels rumours that Duchess Kate would also accompany her sister down the aisle as maid of honour. Pippa became a household name when she took up the role when Catherine married Prince William almost six years ago.

But the wedding will be a double celebration for Princess Charlotte. She turns two on 2nd May.
