Nova host Sarah McGilvray recalls catching ex boyfriend in bed with her friend: 'I picked my keys up and left'

Nova FM radio host Sarah McGilvray is able to forgive and forget.

During Thursday's episode of Fitzy and Wippa, the now-happily married star recalled catching her boyfriend in bed with her good friend during her university days.

While many in the same situation would understandably be up in arms, Sarah remained calm.

Sarah explained to her co-hosts Ryan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald and Michael "Wippa" Wipfli that she went over to her boyfriend's house to pick up her car keys when she found him in bed with another woman.

"I walked in and he was in bed with one of the girls that I was friends with and I went, 'Alright, well, where are my keys?'" she said on-air.

Her exchange with her now-ex was rather swift, with Sarah going on to add: "And he said, 'They're on the floor.' So I picked them up and left, and that was it."

Sarah shocked her co-hosts when she revealed she's still on good terms with her ex, as they were "just at uni" when the incident happened.

"It's just how much anger do you want in your life? Let go. We were never going to be life-long partners," she said.

Sarah is now happily married to James Couche, who she met after her ex, and they share two young children, William and Thomas.
