Vicious note left for arguing couple as neighbours warn her to 'dump him already'

A vicious note has been left for a couple by their neighbours, with the note's anonymous author urging the woman involved to "do everyone a favour and dump him".

The note was found pinned up inside an apartment building in New York and was addressed to the couple who lived in unit 9S.

Supposedly, the pair had been at odds recently and their arguments had disrupted their neighbours.

But if they expected a gentle reminder to keep the noise down, this note would leave them sorely disappointed.

"Girl, do everyone a favour and dump him," the brutal letter begins.

"We don't need to be woken up one more time at 2am because he can't be an adult and hold his s--t together.

"Not one more time woken up by slamming doors, stomping feet and the worst part – hearing his whiny a-- voice yell 'what the f--k!'"

Those lines alone would be enough to scare most people into permanent silence, but the note only got more incredible as it went on.

"You were right to hit him with an ironing board two years ago. Your new dog deserves better. Just BREAK. UP. ALREADY," it read.

"Please allow us to go at least one month without being woken up in the middle of the night. Thank you."

Someone snapped a photo of the note and later shared it to Reddit, posting the snap in the "trashy" forum where opinions were divided.

Several people applauded the anonymous author of the note, saying they were right to call out the disruptive behavior from the couple.

But others suggested that the note could create more serious problems for the pair, who some claimed may be in an abusive relationship.

"They're in an abusive relationship. Highly inconsiderate to include an apartment building in that, but 'just breaking up' isn't that easy," one person wrote.

Another wrote: "WTF! Nobody is right to hitting anybody with an ironing board!"
