Celebrity chef Neil Perry reveals where to get the best sandwich in Sydney
A sandwich is an art form.
It's not as easy as just slapping a few things on bread and calling it a day; a great sandwich has the perfect ratio of fillings to sauce, bread to flavour.
It's often hard to figure out where to get the best sandwich, with so many options now in major city areas it can be overwhelming.
Those living in Sydney can rest easy, though, knowing chef Neil Perry has just declared the best sandwich shop in the city.

Perry declared Double Bay joint Baker Bleu has the best sandwiches, naming it his go-to spot for lunch on the go.
"They use the best bread, best butter and best fillings, which makes them amazing sandwiches," he told Broadsheet.
"The coffee is awesome, too."
Baker Bleu was started back in 2016 by Mike and Mia Russell, who opened their first store in Melbourne.
According to their website, the goal was to create "ethical and delicious sourdough bread for Melbourne to enjoy."
By 2019, they had moved their humble bakery to a larger Melbourne location, and 2022 saw them expand interstate with their first shop in Sydney.

Some of their most popular bakery items include their sourdough bread rolls, plain croissants and bagels.
But it's their sandwiches that have built them a loyal following.
With everything from poached chicken with roast tomatoes, lettuce and avocado, to roast cauliflower, eggplant, capsicum, mint yoghurt and dukkah, the menu seems to have a taste of something for everyone.
And the best part? Majority of the sandwiches are under $20, which is kind of a steal in today's sandwich market.
