Nadia Sawalha channels Karl Stefanovic on Loose Women
Remember when Karl Stefanovic wore the same suit for a year to see if anyone would notice?
Well, it seems the Today host has sparked a trend. Loose Women presenter, Nadia Sawalha has revealed that she has been wearing the same snakeskin-print top on the British chat show for a week in a copycat experiment.
Sawalha — who said she loved not having the stress of choosing an outfit every morning — was inundated with comments from viewers on Facebook and Twitter after she wore the blouse eight times in a row. She said she was inspired by British TV judge, Judge Rinder who appeared on the show earlier this year and revealed that's he worn the same suit for every TV interview without anyone noticing. "That would never happen with us", she apparently replied.
And she was right. Viewers took to the show's social media in their droves to question her outfit. "Can't the wardrobe department get you another top.. you are always wearing the same top on loose women", one tweeted. While another asked: "Why the same styling every day on LW? are you testing us to see if we notice?"
"We were going to do it for longer but people were getting upset with us like, 'Why can’t you tell us what’s going on with your flaming shirt?'", she said.
Stefanovic made headlines in 2014 when he wore the same cheap blue suit every morning for a year to present the Today show. He said he wanted to show the sexism faced by his female co-hosts over their outfit choices, something he proved when no-one even noticed.
