'My husband stopped sleeping with me and I think he's having an affair'
I first thought something was wrong with my relationship when my partner Mike moved to our spare room.
He told me I was snoring as well as moving around a lot in my sleep and that was disturbing his sleep.
I felt really bad but just accepted that he wanted to sleep apart from me. I figured it might only be for a short time – but he never moved back into the bedroom.

Even worse than that, for a year he hasn't wanted to have sex with me and now I fear that he has a girlfriend. How do I know? It's more than just a gut feeling, I have sometimes caught the scent of perfume on him.
Whenever I've brought it up with him, he just laughs and tells me that his boss wears perfume and his desk is next to hers.

I find that quite weird. I mean, if she's the boss, surely she has an office of her own.
I'm not saying that he's having an affair with her, just that I am no fool – if a man smells of perfume, it usually means he's been getting very close to the person who is wearing it.
And, I doubt it's his boss because she is definitely not his type. She's a lot older and also I know he doesn't find large women attractive.

Now that I am pretty much celibate, I've been looking around and believe me, there are not many options.
If Mike and I break up, and it's looking very likely to happen this year, then I will be on my own for a long time. I'd rather be single than take a chance with any of the men in my life.
And I don't have the guts to try online dating, I have a few friends on dating apps and it sounds brutal!
I'm a confident woman but Mike rejecting me has really taken its toll. I don't feel attractive at all and I feel like he is just biding his time before he moves out.
I noticed on his bed in the spare room there were some brochures about apartments. Is he planning on buying an apartment and not telling me, or maybe he's going to rent somewhere. Either way, I'm pretty sure that he will be leaving soon.

I also noticed he'd moved some of his books into a box. Surely he wouldn't be so nasty as to start packing his things even before he's broken up with me?
One night I had a few drinks and tried to seduce him. Well, that went down like a lead balloon. He barely looked at me, told me he was tired and retreated to his room.
It was humiliating. I don't think he even enjoys my company anymore, which is really sad as we used to get on so well!
My friends think I should get in before he does, and end the relationship – and save my pride. I'm waiting until after his birthday celebrations, and then I will tell him it's time for him to move out.
