Among all the politically-driven escapades currently underway at the G7 summit in France, a priceless photo of Melania Trump and Canadian President Justin Trudeau has taken centre stage on the internet.

The 'amorous'-seeming moment between the pair was captured by a European Press photo agency while the G7 world leaders and their partners posed for a 'family photo' in Biarritz.

The US First Lady is seen leaning forward to kiss the handsome Canadian president.

The angle of the photo makes it appear as though Melania is going in for a passionate kiss while husband President Trump is oblivious in the background.

Social media blew up following the encounter, with many joking the former model really was "ready to risk it all", as one Twitter user put it.

"Looks like even Melania is thinking of an escape plan to Canada," wrote another.

A US-based writer added: "This picture is worth a thousand words & twice as many laughs."

Melania isn't the first to fall under Trudeau's charms.

Her stepdaughter Ivanka Trump was previously captured staring starry-eyed at the president during a White House discussion of women in the workplace back in 2017.

"Get someone that looks at you the way Ivanka Trump looks at Justin Trudeau," quipped Huffington Post journalist Philip Lewis at the time.
