Melania thanks first responders after US baseball shooting

First Lady Melania Trump has thanked first responders after their quick action after a man opened fire at a charity baseball practise in the States.
“Thank you to the first responders who rushed in to help protect those who were hurt in Alexandria, VA. My thoughts and prayers to everyone!” the first lady tweeted shortly after news broke of a gunman shooting a senior Republican lawmaker and several others gathered to practice for the game in Virginia, US.

Republican representative Steve Scalise, along with others including police officers, were wounded in the attack by 66-year-old James Hodgkinson, who died of his own injuries.
