Man organises surprise proposal in the cinema, with a ring worth $85,000

A man pulled off the ultimate surprise when he took his girlfriend on what she thought was a normal cinema date - only to hijack the whole screen and propose with a whopper of a ring!

Mike, from the Gold Coast took girlfriend Bec to watch a movie on a normal evening for the big proposal. When the couple were happily sat in their seats, the adverts began...and Mike stepped onto the screen. Bec looked shocked, and then he pulled out a ring on screen. As she turned to face her boyfriend, he was holding out that ring and asking her to marry him.

Only, it wasn’t any old ring. Mike had won a competition put on by The Diamond Concierge, and his prize was an incredible $85,000 sparkler to propose to his girlfriend Bec with.

The couple, who met three years ago while working out, haven’t revealed whether they set a date for the wedding yet. However Mike, who is in the army and Bec, a nurse, looked thrilled with their new fiance status...and we bet Bec can't wait to show off her new sparkler!
