Kate Winslet's awkward interaction with the Queen
Oscar-winner Kate Winslet has shared details of her awkward encounter with Queen Elizabeth II.
In a chat on The Graham Norton Show, the 44-year-old actress talked about her brief interaction with Her Majesty in 2012.
The Titanic star was receiving her Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace and the Queen had a subtle – albeit clear – way of letting her know their chat was over.

"She did this most extraordinary thing," Winslet told Norton on the talk show, adding the Queen has "the most incredible skin and beautiful bouncy hair".
"Of course, there is a system and she is very well rehearsed and very well practised at this. You are told what to do and you step forwards and curtsy or bow or whatever fumble, terrible thing I probably did.
"And then you put out your hand to shake it and she sort of gives you this suggestive nudge backwards, like 'you're done, that's it. Go back again'.

"I was like oh okay, I wasn't expecting that."
Winslet also said the Queen spoke to her briefly about motherhood, saying "well, that is the only job".
The British star has three children, teenagers Mia, 18, and Joe, 15, as well as her youngest son Bear Blaze, five, with Ned Rocknroll who she married in 2012.
