Prince William might have just let something slip about the royal baby

The royal baby might be here sooner than we think.

Prince William has whipped the world into a frenzy after he suggested the due date for their new addition might be sooner than expected.

Kensington Palace announced he and Kate Middleton were expecting their third child earlier this month.  Many people assumed the couple had waited until the second trimester to announce the news, meaning the baby would be born sometime in April 2018.

However, Prince William's comments while on royal duty this week might suggest otherwise.

William visited a London coffee shop on Tuesday to meet with a charity, dealing with homelessness and addiction. While he was there he spoke with a midwife and was overheard telling her: “All the best for the midwifery, I may see you sooner than you think.”

Last week, he also reportedly let slip: “It was a bit anxious to start with but [we can] start celebrating this week."

Now, people think the baby might be arriving as early as March.

The palace also revealed Kate is suffering from severe morning sickness, known as hyperemesis gravidarum.

The Duchess of Cambridge was hospitalised with the condition while pregnant with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a pregnancy complication, where women suffer from nausea and vomiting so severe, they require hospitalisation to rehydrate and cannot keep anything down, including water. This often leaves them leaving faint.

The severe form of morning sickness was believed to be the reason the Duke and Duchess announced their first pregnancy a little earlier than they would have liked, with Catherine in and out of hospital.

The Duchess made her first public appearance this week since her pregnancy was announced, appearing in a video about mental health.
