Karl Stefanovic makes a return to the TODAY show

TODAY show host Karl Stefanovic got a warm welcome on his first day back on the show in 2017. 

Karl introduced the show with a cheeky "It's good to have my company!" leaving his co-hosts in fits of giggles. The hosts then introduced themselves to each other in reference to Karl's extended break from the show

Karl's co-hosts were certainly glad to have him back: yesterday, Lisa Wilkinson uploaded a photo of the presenting pair to Instagram with the caption "Tomorrow, Karl and I are back! Hope you can join us. We'll be looking for you from 5.30!"

Fans were quick to reply, writing "About time!" and "Welcome back, very excited".

The TODAY show also shared a picture of the host looking fresh faced in a promo for Married at First Sight, which starts on Channel 9 this evening.
