In the wake of Taylor Swift's court victory in her sexual assault case, more and more women are feeling emboldened to speak out about their own traumatic experiences.
Jewellery designer Samantha Wills revealed her own assault on her website this week, and has since been overwhelmed with support.
Wills, who was born in Port Macquarie, NSW, shares that while walking to a SoulCycle class in New York a few months ago, she was assaulted on the street by a stranger: "I looked up as I could see a man walking diagonally towards me. He was about three steps away, and as I glanced up, he was looking me straight in the eyes. He ran into my left shoulder with his right, and with his left hand grabbed me directly between my legs. Not bumped into & accidentally touched me, but purposefully ran into me, and with a cupped hand grabbed my crotch."
