Facebook page dedicated to missing mum-of-five Jennifer Dulos hacked by trolls

A Facebook page dedicated to providing news updates for missing mum-of-five, Jennifer Dulos, has been forced to shut down after internet trolls gained access to the administration account.

The group by the name of, "Jennifer Dulos, Fotis Dulos, Michelle Troconis, Connecticut Case Discussion," had gained over 10,000 members due to the high-profile mystery surrounding the disappearance of Connecticut mum-of-five – Jennifer Dulos.

The page was used by members of the public as a way to keep up-to date with the fast paced nature of the case with hourly updates being posted to the page.

Others used the page as a way to help victims of domestic violence and band together on unity.

It is unknown whether the internet trolls gained access via hacking into the page or whether they were approved members via admin.

The page admin said that the trolls managed to gain administrative privileges and bump the real admins off their roles and began posting messages supporting Jennifer's estranged husband – Fotis Dulos.

Jennifer was reported missing on May 24, after missing appointments – and has not been seen since. She was last seen driving her black SUV shortly after dropping her children to school.

Her estranged husband Fotis Dulos and his new girlfriend Michelle Traconis have both been charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution, after CCTV footage showed two people of their descriptions disposing of plastic bags in an area where police later found clothing and rags cover in blood matching that of Jennifer's.

Troconis is due to appear in court on August 19.
