Irish dancers warned: please don't practice in the hotel lift

A Belfast Hotel putting up world championship Irish dancers has warned its residents to stop practising in the lift with a note that's gone viral.

"We at the Premier Inn understand you need to practice constantly to perfect your skills", it says.

"However if you dance in the lifts they will stop moving and you will be stuck in here until we get an engineer to come and rescue you."

Lianne Reddy posted the note to Twitter with the caption: "An actual sign in the lift in our hotel. I can't breathe with the laughter".

The World Irish Dance Championships are on at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall until Friday.

"PS Best of luck at the Waterfront," the sign says.
