Influencer Malin Nunez shared a surprising set of photos to her Instagram page on Friday, revealing before and after snaps of her body that go against expectations.

The personal trainer is known for sharing other women's incredible weight loss pictures, but when it came to her own before and after shots she took a different route.

Posting to 559,000 followers, Nunez revealed that having two children and her breast implants removed had taken a toll on her body, comparing it now to her toned physique a few years ago.

"Mum of one VS Mum of two, implants VS no implants, 53 kg VS 57 kg," she captioned the powerful comparison.

The older photo shows her wearing a black bikini that shows off her full bust and flat stomach, whereas in the second image her breasts are notably smaller and there is obvious loose skin on her stomach.

But the differences are something to be proud of in Nunez's eyes.

"My body managed to create two beautiful boys, who cares [about] some extra skin here and there?" she wrote.

"Who cares if my breasts looks like two dead meatballs?"

Nunez decided to have her implants removed after she began experiencing strange and seemingly unconnected symptoms, often caused by Breast Implant Illness (BII).

It's unclear how or why BII develops in some women with breast implants, but the symptoms can be painful and debilitating, and in some cases implants have been linked to increased risk of cancer.

Nunez herself experienced chronic fatigue, excessive acne, hair loss and regular pain she believes was likely caused by BII. She chose to have her implants removed in January this year, sharing her experience with her followers.

"I was so afraid of how my new, no implants breasts would look like, but I like them, because I feel like the real me," she wrote on her before and after photos.

"You maybe think that you should look like the left to look good. That's NOT true! You decide what's beautiful or not [for]  yourself, no one else can ever decide that for you."
