UK YouTube and Instagram star, 35, tragically dies in road collision

A popular UK YouTube and Instagram star has tragically passed away.

Emily Hartridge, 35, was reportedly involved in a collision with a truck whilst on her electric scooter out in Battersea, London, the BBC reports.

Hartridge was well-known for her online videos, having over 340,00 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

She also had a keen following on Instagram of over 46,000.

Hartridge was also a qualified personal trainer, and had a stint of television hosting having previously presented a documentary about turning 30.

A statement confirming Hartridge's death was posted to her Instagram page.

"Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away," the statement read. "We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten.

"She has touched so many lives it's hard to imagine things without her.

"She was a very special person."

Fellow television presenter Davina McCall shared her shock over Hartridge's death.

"My heart goes out to Emily’s family and friends," she said on Instagram.

"Such a shock. Sending you love and prayers."

Callum Best, the son of soccer star George Best, also shared his condolences.

"Jesus Christ no way this is so sad I'm so sorry," he wrote.

In the last YouTube video she posted before her death, Hartridge opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend, Jake Hazell, 27, calling the relationship "wonderful".
