Prominent makeup artist describes terrifying home invasion during lockdown

A globally recognised makeup artist and influencer has revealed she was the victim of a violent home invasion during lockdown.

Describing the horrific situation on Instagram, P. Louise explained three men in balaclavas entered her home and demanded money after disabling her security system. 

She described being "held at knifepoint" by the masked men, each of whom were carrying sledgehammers.

"I've got a child in the house and they held me up with sledgehammers," Louise, who owns a beauty brand, a line of luxury lounge wear and an accompanying makeup academy, explained.

The 27-year-old entrepreneur, who reportedly makes over £6 million ($11.6 million AUD) a year, was previously raised on a council estate in Manchester. In her post, she suggested her success had come at the cost of her safety.

"This is what happens when you make money," she said on her Instagram stories.

Distraught by the encounter, Louise shared snippets of the invasion from CCTV footage, and pleaded with her followers to come forward with information on the men.

"They violated me in my own home," she wrote, labelling the attack as "targeted".

"Keep the names coming, I'm getting similar names showing up," she added, offering a reward for any information that will assist in finding the intruders.

The beauty guru believed "someone close" to her was responsible for leaking her address, confirming "I don't show anyone where I live."

Louise confirmed her nine-year-old brother was also held up in the robbery, and had been "slung into another room" while the thieves took multiple Rolex watches.

"To be held up in front of my little brothers, over money, I just think it's f---ing disgraceful," she said.

"I'm no longer going to be active on my personal social," she told her 339k followers, and has since moved out of the home.

"I won't be returning and will be selling," she confirmed.

The beauty guru has amassed a following of over one million people across her various social platforms.

Known for her unique eye makeup technique and captivating designs, Louise shot to fame after launching "the world's best eyeshadow primer", a product that prevents shadow from creasing and has been hailed a 'miracle' by UK beauty fanatics.

The UK, which remains in lockdown amid coronavirus, has reported a drop in overall crime in the four weeks up until 12 April, including a 37% drop in burglary.
