Husband's shocking decade-old discovery in toilet

A woman has revealed her husband's shock discovery at the bottom of their toilet after he decided to investigate a strange sound it was making.

In a now-deleted Facebook post, US woman Becki Beckman explained that their toilet had started to make a "banging sound" whenever they flushed it. "Initially we blamed it on the toilet being old or the house construction being terrible," she said.

After a while, the sound became too much to ignore, and her husband decided to grab a plunger and take a look.

After some time, Beckmann said her husband came running toward her, telling her she wouldn't believe what he'd found.

It was her old iPhone she'd lost 10 years ago.

In her post to Facebook, Becki says she was more than astonished: "This was so, so far from what I was expecting," she wrote.

She recalls how confused she was 10 years ago when her iPhone supposedly "vanished".

She hadn't been out, or done much in the days before it was lost, so she said its disappearance left her "super confused".

In the end, she "replaced it, moved on, whatever" — as she says, "it was mysterious but it was gone."

While photos show the back of the iPhone has popped off slightly, it's otherwise intact. Commenters have called this "miraculous" particularly since Becki's husband found the phone in the depths of their toilet pipes.

"Now how come my glass screen breaks when I even so much as look at it funny but you can literally sh-t on yours for years and it's perfect?" one person joked.

"There's no way it was stuck in your toilet for 10 years and never caused an issue until it started making a sound," another commented.
