Australian Ninja Warrior: Jett Kenny's 'terrible' diet confession

Team Coach

The pressure is high for all Australian Ninja Warrior contenders — but it's a little higher than most for Queenslander Jett Kenny.

The Gold Coast Ironman and surf lifesaver stands in the shadow of his parents, Olympians Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny.

Speaking to Coach before his run in the second Ninja Warrior heat, which airs on Nine on Monday at 7:30pm, Kenny said his skills in the surf may have provided the "endurance and stamina" required to attempt the obstacle course.

The 23-year-old is also a model, whose abs have been described as "insane" — but if you assume he earned them with a strict regimen of grilled chicken and steamed broccoli, you're not going to like his confession about what he eats every day.

"I have a terrible diet," he said, revealing his favourite junk food in the video above and admitting he's renowned for his poor eating habits… which you can only get away with when you're a twentysomething man with a "full-on" workout schedule.

"I'll swim maybe two or three times a week and probably try to get to two gym sessions in the mornings," he said. "Then every afternoon we [surf lifesavers] alternate between board and ski training, plus a few runs in there."

Australian Ninja Warrior airs on Nine on Sundays and continues on Monday and Tuesday nights.
