Gable Tostee appears to have resurfaced on Tinder, just months after he was acquitted of the murder and manslaughter of Warriena Wright who he met through the dating app.

The twenty-six-year-old New Zealand tourist fell 14 storeys to her death from Tostee's Surfer's Paradise apartment in 2014. The pair were on a first date, having started talking through Tinder. Tostee was cleared of all charges last October.

Now, he appears to have activated a new profile under his new name, Eric Thomas.

A Gold Coast woman told the Gold Coast BulletinGold Coast Bulletinshe recognised the self-confessed Playboy while swiping through the app.

His bio says he's 31 and attended Griffith University.

"Shh don’t tell Channel 9", his tagline says — in reference to the media storm that surrounded the case, including a controversial appearance on 60 Minutes following his acquittal.

Screenshots from his profile show him partaking in a food challenge and lying shirtless in bed.

His ex-girlfriend Lizzi Evans, who stood by him throughout the trial, said she called time on their relationship in December because she felt "emotionally starved' by her former lover's "personal behaviour".

She told the Daily Mail they had hoped to "begin a new chapter of life" together, but he had been obsessed with his "old life" partying.

"I just had no more to give in the end but he seems [unfazed] as to be expected I suppose", she said.
