Florida police department urges women not to call 911 after ‘hot cop’ selfie goes viral

Three policemen from Florida have made the internet swoon with their attractive selfie - so much so, that the police department has urged women not to call in the hopes of speaking with them.

The cops, who have been busy working during Hurricane Irma uploaded the picture earlier this week to the Gainesville Police Department facebook page. Officers Michael Hamill, Dan Rengering and John Nordman wrote: “Part of the night crew getting ready to do some work.”

The post instantly drew comments from admirers; some funny, some a little bit inappropriate - and plenty from women offering to give themselves up for arrest. 

Jaime Lee Daniels wrote: “The hunkapotumus is a rare, elusive, and mythical creature. Here we are lucky to see 3 huddled together in the wake of Hurricane Irma.”

Lucy Kane added: “I can't believe how many women are objectifying these poor, fine, young, strong,handsome, brave, sexy, delicious, virile, ovulation-inducing, mouth-watering, beefy..... I can't remember where I was going with this…”

The officers wrote an update on the post after receiving so many comments. They wrote that they are “dying” at some of the hilarious comments, and added that while two of the men are married, the one on the right with the “amazing hair” is single. 

They then added: “On another note, Officer Rengering is being placed into Cougar Prey Protective Care, similar to the witness protection program for his safety,” before asking women not to  “call 9-1-1 and request this group respond to your "incident"”

Oh, and ladies: “There WILL be a calendar.”

The story doesn’t end there. Another police station, Sarasota Police Department sent a rival image, which was shared on the initial Facebook post. They wrote: “Officers Raulerson, Craig, Gloeckner & Hughes responded to help our friends at the North Port Police Department & North Port Fire Department this afternoon with rescues due to rising floodwaters from Hurricane Irma. Gainesville Police Department has nothing on us”

This is the kind of competition we can get on board with...
