A mother of two, and fitness blogger has hit back at trolls who told her she shouldn't wear bikinis because she's a mum.

Sia Cooper, who has over 1.2 million follows on Instagram, regularly shares workout snaps and healthy eating tips.

Cooper posted a photo of her in a bikini in the Bahamas, revealing in the caption that she was hesitant to post the photos because she was worried about cellulite showing.

She then said; "I'm sharing it now because I want you ladies to feel empowered and to own your bodies. You are more than your dimples."

Although there were plenty of followers who praised the 30-year-old for posting the picture, she was to also told to cover up for the sake of her children.

"To show your gains you don't have to show your behind like that, you are a mother" a user commented.

"think about what your children see your behind in yours posts in the future, unfollowed."

Cooper responded in another Instagram post, also showing her in a bikini.

She continued saying "There is no rule out there that states you can't rock a bikini just because you pushed a baby out of your vagina at some point in your life. In fact, that should make you worthy of one and so much more."

Cooper also pointed out how important it is to have a body-positive person in a young person's life, saying that her own mother had body image issues that were projected on to her as a teenager.

"I fought like hell to finally love myself and it wasn't until a few years ago that I started wearing shorts again in public" the mother-of-two said.

"I would've given anything to have a body positive mama and I make sure that my kids see and feel this positivity everyday-not just with looks but with it all."

She finished by saying "Let the mum-judging stop. Motherhood is already tough as it is. We are damned if we do, damned if we don't so stay true to yourself."

Her message has been liked by more than 33 000 people, with many people praising her efforts.

"I love this! I'm so tired of women shaming other women. Just know that those women are battling their own demons with body positivity. Life is hard on us! You are beautiful inside and out!" one user said.

"Show it off girl!!!! There's absolutely nothing wrong with this picture" said another.
