It's time to go for gold as squiggle-shaped arches make way for the Midas touch in the makeup department.

Midas touch brows first appeared on the face of Australian actress Margot Robbie at the 2016 Met Gala, where the Suicide Squad star ruled the red carpet with gold-painted eyebrows courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Patti Dubroff.

Now, metallic brows have taken off on Instagram where beauty bloggers have created high-voltage eyebrow looks using bright gold, silver, red and blue eye paints to coat their brow hairs.

With spring festival season around the corner this is the eyebrow trend you need to take for spin.

For the move to metallic brows, you fill in your eyebrow hair using a colourful, sparkly brow liner or bright paint to create arches that glow. It’s easy-to-do, chic, edgy and if it’s not for your aches you simply wash it off.

This look can be as bold and bright as you like or soft and subtle, depending on the colour and texture of your product.
