Kendall Jenner's blonde ambition

Kendall Jenner rarely ventures away from changing her dark luscious locks, yet the 21-year-old model has foregone her trademark look and gone platinum blonde in a new Pepsi Max commercial.

With her striking blonde and on-trend “lob” hair, which is in fact a wig, you still have to almost look twice to make sure that it’s actually her. However, it’s not the model’s only liaison with lighter locks, she successfully rocked another blonde wig on the runway for Balmain last year.

Although Kendall’s hair colour change may be the biggest revelation to come out of the commercial’s release, keeping her role as Pepsi’s new spokesperson a secret was the biggest challenge for the supermodel.

“I've known I was going to be the face of Pepsi for a while. But I haven't said a peep to anyone. My sisters don't even know. It's going to be like…surprise!” Kendall told Elle.

She follows the footsteps of another famous model as the face of Pepsi, Cindy Crawford’s appearance in a 1992 commercial has gone down as the most iconic of all time for the company. Which perhaps more than explains why her daughter Kaia Gerber, is a perfect fit as the new face of a perfume all about endless youth.
