Why this $59 wardrobe 'basic' has Aussie shoppers obsessed: 'Never worn something better'
It was just past 8pm on Tuesday May 27 when, by chance, I checked my phone to discover something that made me jump out of bed and run to grab my debit card.
For weeks, there's been one sold out $59 'basic' ($71.99 with postage) I've had on my wish list, even though I could easily buy it for half the price elsewhere.
Just by luck, it restocked last week.
Now, after trying it on, I can now officially say I don't regret a single dollar spent.

The 'basic' in question is a tank top from Aussie brand All For Mimi.
All For Mimi is the brainchild of 21-year-old social media sensation Sophia Begg, better known to her 1.4 million followers on TikTok as Sopha Dopha.
Over the last few months, Aussies have gone absolutely wild for the brand's tank top, with the range having to be restocked multiple times.

The tank comes in five colours from sizes XS to 3XL and is made from an 86 per cent polyester and 14 per cent spandex blend.
The actual design features a square neckline with a below-the-waist length – a pretty standard design you've likely seen on a store hanger before.
I snagged one in white as part of the latest drop – and it's lucky I did, because when I checked the site the next morning, the top was completely sold out again in all colours and sizes.
If you were to just look at the website, or the many pics of Sopha Dopha modelling the top on her social media feed, the tank looks similar to any other.
But in the reviews, shoppers raved they were "literally in shock" and "in awe" over the purchase, with another claiming they'd "never worn something better" in their life.
Others praised how "flattering" and "supportive" it is.
Now, I've worn my fair share of white tops over the years and the main issue tends to be it being see-through – a common problem with any clothing that comes in white.

"Was so tired of buying singlets where the material was see through and thin and not wearing a bra wasn't an option," one review on the site agreed.
But according to the shopper, the difference with this top is it can be worn "without a bra, not see through at all and is so flattering."
Safe to say, the glowing reviews piqued my interest.
After wearing the tank top, I can confirm the internet has done its job with this one.
The fabric has a thick feel to it, giving a structured fit but without being scratchy. The stretch and length also allows it to be worn versatile.
I've paired it with jeans for a day out with friends and beneath a blazer with dress pants for a day in the office at work.

Most importantly – it's not see-through.
Just yesterday, the brand teased on Instagram another restock is on the way.
"Hurry up and restock!" one person begged in the comments.
Another said they were "in desperate need" for more to be made available.
