Ruby Rose’s top Logies look
Australian actress and model Ruby Rose has picked out her favourite Logies beauty look to celebrate the launch of the Urban Decay line of makeup she is promoting.
The model-turned-actress who stars in Orange Is The New Black, John Wick: Chapter 2 and the upcoming Pitch Perfect 3 looks back fondly on a silver buzz-cut she sported to the annual celebration of Australian television in 2010.
"This was when Annie Lennox and Sinéad O'Connor were my icons for sure!," Ruby told US ELLE. "It's basically all shaved. I felt like I was limited with how short my hair was because it really was so shaved, so we did beautiful makeup and I think the only way I felt like I could really give the makeup and the gown the right look was with a little bit of the finger wave curl."
Ruby even went out of her way to explain the event, held in Melbourne this evening, to an American audience.

"That was for a really glamorous event called the Logies," she said.
The actress also confesses that up until 2015 she didn’t know how to correctly do her own makeup, despite representing Maybelline in Australia and having their slogan "Maybe you’re born with it" tattooed on her clavicle.

Ruby, who is dating Veronica’s singer Jess Origilasso, says that secret to looking good is all in the eyebrows.
"I'm very much about the brow," Ruby says. "I don't have to do much, which is lucky because when I was young, I plucked them to be like Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey.

"Then, I every day prayed to be like Brooke Shields instead. Now, I have eyebrows again. That was a fun colour. I think I've tried all colours and styles. It's fun because every time I do a different colour, you have to change everything you wear and all your makeup."
