Pamela Anderson
It's hard to believe that Pamela Anderson - who rose to fame way back in the '90s -had never been to the Met Gala before 2024, which has very much been her comeback year.
The actress and model broke her no-makeup rule just for the red carpet, turning to beauty legend Pat McGrath for her natural look.
It went beautifully with her custom Oscar de la Renta gown, which was in a champagne hue that complimented Anderson's colouring beautifully.
Ed Sheeran
Shape Of You singer Ed Sheeran also made his Met Gala debut this year, opting for a powder blue Stella McCartney suit for the special occasion.
He arrived with the designer and two big-name Met Gala regulars, FKA Twigs and Cara Delevigne, who were also dressed by McCartney.
Jeff Goldblum
He's been a Hollywood staple for decades but now, at the age of 71, Jeff Goldblum has finally made his Met Gala debut.
The Wicked star gave a nod to the movie musical on its way to the big screen in his ensemble, wearing green lenses in his glasses, which also tied into The Garden of Time theme.
Shakira
Shakira was among the first-timers club at this year's Met Gala.
The singer looked resplendent in a strapless crepe column gown "in signature Herrera Red" with a sculptural rose-shaped cape of 30 metres in silk gazar.
The creation was a collaboration between Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon and the three lead female patternmakers of the atelier.
Rebecca Ferguson
Dune: Part II star Rebecca Ferguson stunned in a look by Thom Browne.
It featured a dramatic black silk moiré floor-length cape with ravens embroidered across the lining.
There was also a glittering gown underneath, which was covered in 60,000 green and blue Swarovski crystals embroidered into flowers.
Raye
British singer Raye's year is only getting bigger.
Fresh from sweeping the Brit Awards, she walked the steps of the Met Gala for the first time, dressed in a fun strapless silver gown with elegant long gloves.
The Prada singer then performed at one of the after parties.
Ambika Mod
One Day actress Ambika Mod was a surprise first-time attendee.
The British actress in the hit Netflix drama series wore custom Loewe after being invited by creative director (and One Day super fan), Jonathan Anderson.
Colman Domingo
Oscar nominee Colman Domingo has nailed the assignment on his first Met Gala outing.
The Rustin and Euphoria actor opted for classic black and white, with a dramatic cape and flowers in hand to round out the ensemble.
Lily Gladstone
After playing a starring role on red carpets across awards season, Golden-Globe winning actress Lily Gladstone pulled off another stellar look.
Gladstone, the first Native American to be nominated for an Oscar for her role in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon, wore a black cape Gabriela Hearst gown.
It was encrusted with recycled silver stars made by Kiowa jeweller Keri Ataumbi.
"Since time immemorial, Kiowa, Blackfeet, and other Plains people have always said we come from the stars, and it is where we return to join our ancestors," Gladstone said of the look.
"It is a tapestry of time, under the veil of night."
