The inspiring story behind Mandy Moore’s new tattoo

Mandy Moore is used to her hit-show This is Us breaking records, the season two premiere brought in the highest ratings ever for a show on NBC.

But not content with smashing goals only in her career, Moore recently decided to tick something rather tall off her bucket list and climb the highest mountain peak on the continent, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Earlier this month for former singer headed to Tanzania with her fiancé Taylor Goldsmith and some of her closest friends, where they made the gruelling hike.

Feeling proud of her accomplishment and wanting to do something to both celebrate and remember the moment, the Walk to Remember star went and got herself a permanent souvenir, a tattoo.

The ink was designed by L.A.-based tattoo artists Winter Stone Tattoo and is a very fine outline of the mountain, which Moore says she has “dreamed the dream of climbing” since she was 18 years old.
