1998
New on the Hollywood scene in the '90s, Lindsay Lohan cemented herself as a star following her memorable performance in The Parent Trap alongside Natasha Richardson and Dennis Quaid.
For the 1998 film's world premiere at Mann National Theatre in Westwood, California the star wore a gorgeous blue dress by designer Nicole Miller.
"My mum still has this dress. She kept it for me at home," Lohan told Vogue in 2022 while breaking down some of her looks over the years.
"As a young girl, I was always really into fashion," the actress said.
"My mum knew how much I loved it, so we went shopping for this dress."
2001
After the success of The Parent Trap, Lohan continued acting in the early noughties with films such as Get a Clue and Life-Size.
The star kept her signature red hair colour as she made more and more red carpet appearances through the years.
Here Lohan rocks a pair of cargo pants and a black tank top for a screening of Dinner with Friends in 2001.
2002
The star wore what appeared to be the same sparkly choker necklace from the Dinner with Friends screening for a red carpet appearance the following year.
Lohan's casual noughties red carpet style combined was the casual chic trend of the time.
The actress paired her glitzy necklace with a pair of understated jeans and a cardigan for the premiere of The Rookie in 2002.
2002
"But why was I wearing flip flops and a scarf?" Lohan hilariously questioned this memorable 2002 look in her interview with Vogue.
The actress wore this Juicy sweatsuit, long scarf and pair of black thongs on her feet for the The Neil Bogart Memorial Fund that year.
The look was during the time Lohan was filming what would be her next biggest hit Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis.
"I was really just rocking the Avril Lavigne vibe, because that was my character, and I really took it into my daily life," she said, pointing out the white highlights in her pair in particular.
Lohan laughed at the look and joked the rock star inspired wardrobe was "not working on a daily basis" for her.
2003
By 2003, Lindsay Lohan was in her 'bangs' hair era to kick off the Freaky Friday press tour.
After getting her name on the map with The Parent Trap, Lohan once again proved her acting chops in the 2003 Disney original film as Jamie Lee Curtis' on-screen daughter Anna.
The then 17-year-old stepped out for the film's premiere at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood on August 4, 2003 in a gorgeous gold mini dress with a ribbon sitting front and centre.
Along with a bold fringe, Lohan's hair also started appearing to get lighter.
2003
Lohan's red carpet style for the Freaky Friday press tour had everything from mini-dresses to this mix of chic and casual wear.
The actress made an appearance at the Macy's and Teen People's Freaky Friday Mother/Daughter Fashion Show on August 6 in a pair of rolled up jeans over bold patterned stiletto boots.
Lohan finished off her press day look with a fitted cropped jacket over a black camisole.
2003
A couple of weeks later there was this very Avril Lavigne coded look Lohan wore to the Stuff Magazine's Pre-VMA party in New York City on August 27
Along with a pair of jeans and a silky cropped shirt, the star committed to the accessories for the look with a pink cap and silky cropped shirt.
