Lady Gaga turns the streets of New York into her own catwalk

No-one knows the power of a high-voltage outfit better than Lady Gaga. Over the weekend, the Polka Face singer turned the streets of New York City into her own personal runway, strutting her stuff in three show-stopping designer outfits all within 24 hours.

During 32-year-old’s trip to the big apple she stopped by Gramercy Park Hotel for a special surprise performance, but it was her sartorial selections that took centre stage.

Gaga started the day with an appearance at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village where she donned an understated tartan suit by Calvin Luo. She paired the blue and yellow co-coordinating look with a black clutch and circular-style sunglasses.

To leave the studio she changed into a romantic white frock from Valentino and a pair of black slingback heels from Neil J. Rogers. She offset the monochrome aesthetic with a bright pink lipstick.

For her final act, the Grammy Award- winner switched her sartorial gears into high-gear. As she headed out to the iconic hotel she stepped out in a crimson mini-dress from Christian Siriano’s A/W’18 collection complete with a cape of red ruffles. In the accessories department she went with a vintage bejewelled choker, velvet opera gloves from Cornelia James and an Azzedine Alaïa clutch.

The performance was her first since she abruptly cancelled her Joanna World Tour due to the "severe pain" she detailed in Five Foot Two, her Netflix documentary about her struggle with fibromyalgia, a disease that causes chronic pain in the muscles and bones.
