For even the most versed beauty aficionado, achieving a perfect cat-eye is akin to what we imagine climbing Mount Everest to be like. No matter how many practice runs you've done, or how prepared you feel going in, when the time comes, the real thing is so much harder than you ever imagined.

Alas, Kristen Stewart has reinstated our faith in the elusive cat-eye (for now anyway). Fond of a lived-in, smudgy eye, Stewart opted for a more defined flick at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film American Ultra.

Reminiscent of the shape created by Tom Pecheux for Chanel's Fall 2015 ready-to-wear show, Stewart's spin was a slightly heavier, metallic version that continued down to her lower lash line. Where Karl's models wore next-to-nothing on their lashes, Stewart piled on the mascara.
