Shoppers find $20 Kmart dupe of $179 shoe sold by popular Aussie brand

Whether you're dressing up or down for an occasion, sandals are a girl's best friend.

A simple sandal goes with just about anything from a pair of denim shorts at the beach to a maxi dress for weekend brunch with the girls.

The shoe is a step up from thongs in looks and practicality but arguably still just as comfy – especially if you need to be on your feet for a long time and are avoiding heels at all costs.

Kmart shoe dupe

The Kmart shoe comes in black and ivory.  Kmart

With the summer season in full swing, Kmart has stocked up on its sandals.

But there's one pair that looks near-identical to a $179 shoe from another popular Aussie retailer. The good news: the price tag is not nearly as expensive.

Kmart's Triple Adjustable Sandals come in both black and ivory colours (pictured above).

The shoe features adjustable straps on the top and back with an open-toe design.

The quilted sandals retail for just $20.

The Kmart find also happens to look incredibly similar to a popular shoe sold by Aussie brand, Country Road, which started out in Victoria in the '70s.

Country Road's Lottie Sandal has a four star customer rating on the retailer's website, with one review calling the shoe "stylish and flattering".

At the time of writing, the shoe is low in stock on the brand's website.

The sandal comes in oyster and black that look almost the same as the Kmart versions.

The similarities don't stop there.

The Country Road shoe also has three adjustable hook-and-loop straps.

While the Kmart version is $20, the leather-covered Country Road sandal is $179.

"What a fab dupe 😍😍😍" one person commented.

Kmart has come out with dupes for popular designer shoes in recent months, including a $25 slingback shoe that bears a striking resemblance to a $595 pair sold by contemporary label Ganni.
