Keeping up with RiRi

Eliza Cracknell

Being Dior’s leading lady is a role Rihanna has embraced whole heartedly.

Since becoming the first black woman to front the house in March this year, the singer has made catwalk appearances, run through the halls of Versailles and created a song for the French fashion label.

Now, she can add a cover and spread for Dior’s quarterly magazine to her list of achievements.

Shot by Craig McDean, Rihanna smoulders in mesh pieces and a printed jumpsuit.

And it seems the story’s biggest fan is Rihanna herself, with the singer posting not one but nine pictures of the editorial on her Instagram account.

The theme of Dior’s eleventh issue is ‘Le Bestiaire’ (bestiary), a reference to the autumn/winter 2015 collection.

It’s been a busy month for Ri – not only has she released her seventh perfume, RiRi, but the singer confirmed last week that she’ll also be launching a beauty line called Fenty Beauty (Fenty is her last name).

When the collection will be released and what it will consist of is yet to be revealed, but if Rihanna’s own wish-list (“lashes that could just put themselves on” and “lipstick that doesn’t move”) is anything to go by, it’s bound to be interesting.
