Jesinta Franklin takes a swipe at David Jones

There appears to be no love lost between Jesinta Franklin and David Jones.

After almost two years with the department store, the model quietly parted ways with the retailer in December of last year, and if Franklin’s latest comments are anything to go by, it’s a partnership she won’t be missing.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 27 year-old took a thinly veiled swipe at D’J’s, claiming that she doubts they would be able to afford her or her high-profile AFL star husband, Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

"I don't know if department stores have the budget anymore, to be quite frank," said Franklin.

The former Miss Universe Australia added that it’s a nice change to be able to work with other world-class retailers now.

"It's nice not being boxed into one little department store.  I'm really happy being able to work alongside the likes of Harrolds and wear the best of the best," she said.

The diss comes just one week after Franklin was seen sitting front row at the Myer Spring Summer Launch, yet was nowhere to be seen the David Jones launch the week prior.

Frankin’s manager says the reason she didn’t attend the show was simple, she didn't make their list.

"(Jesinta) didn’t snub them, she wasn’t extended an invitation to their recent show," a spokesperson for Franklin told news.com.au.

At the time of her exit from David Jones, Franklin was replaced by fellow Aussie and Victoria’s Secret model, Victoria Lee.

Meanwhile, after 12 years with Myer, ambassador Jennifer Hawkins walked the catwalk for the brand for the last time last week. It’s believed Hawkins was replaced with Elyse Knowles who signed on 'at a fraction of the price'.
