Target has announced it will collaborate with designer Jean Paul Gaultier on a range of clothing, accessories and homewares.

The unofficial king of the Breton tee is the latest high-profile designer to team up with the Australian retailer, following on from hugely sought-after lines from Stella McCartney, Missoni and Dion Lee.

The 100-piece Jean Paul Gaultier for Target collection will include women's, men's, baby and children's clothing as well as homewares, shoes and lingerie (we're hopeful for a cone bra).

The ready-to-wear collection is set to riff on Gaultier's beloved stripes and tattoo motifs; so get ready to snap up the best damn Breton top you ever laid eyes on.

In a statement, Gaultier said he's "impressed by the laid-back, unstuffy confidence," Australians demonstrate with their style.

"I believe in fashion that you can wear everyday, not just on a catwalk," said Gaultier.

With no confirmed launch date as yet, the collection is slated to drop online and in selected stores in early 2016. Prices start from $10.
