Aussie Instagram star takes bridezilla requests to the next level

While most brides-to-be can be guilty of a few bridezilla tendencies, Pia Muehlenbeck has taken her wedding day requests to the next level.

The popular Australian Instagram model, who has over 2 million followers, is set to marry her fiancée Kane Vato in a lavish ceremony in Byron Bay in December.

However, guests attending the nuptials may have to make sure they read the fine print on the invitation first.

Muehlenbeck has reportedly issued very specific outfit instructions to her guests via her official wedding website.

This includes a request for attendees to only wear “natural earth tones”.

"We would love if everyone could adhere to this direction with their attire. Light, muted, earthy, natural tones," the 26-year-old and Vato wrote on their wedding page, kaneandpia.com, which is locked away behind a password.

The request is accompanied by a Pinterest mood of looks that guests can draw inspiration from.

The board features photographs of models clad in “earthy toned” clothes. There are five suggestions for males and seven for women, including a list of fabrics such as silk, linen and cotton in approved colours and shades.

Guests also have not been told where the ceremony is and won’t know until half an hour before, on the day of the nuptials.

"I’ve been to a lot of fashion industry weddings over the years, but never ever have I been given a mood board for what I should wear," one guest, who did not wish to be named, told The Daily Telegraph.

When contacted by the publication for an official comment, a representative for the pair from 22 MGMT said that it was simply “tongue-in-cheek” and “a bit of fun”.

"It’s a helpful guide that’s all," said the representative.
