The highest paid celebrities on Instagram
Forget Linda Evangelista's claim that models in the '90s don't get out of bed for "less than $10,000 a day" because in 2019, the world's most fashionable faces won't smile for a selfie for less than a hundred thousand dollars an Instagram post.
Social media scheduling company Hopper Q, have ranked the world's biggest celebrities and influencers based on how much they can command for a single Instagram post and the list makes for an interesting read.
Number one spot goes to beauty mogul Kylie Jenner. The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan charges an astonishing $1,384,000 per post.
The 21-year-old's social media value has been driven by her family's reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians, her clothing brand Kendall + Kylie and her cult-beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics. The brand's popularity saw her top Forbes list of America's wealthiest self-made women in July 2018.
"Even in industry standards, getting paid anywhere near $1 million is eye-wateringly high," Mike Bandar, Hopper HQ co-founder told CNBC.
Coming in a close second is singer and actress Selena Gomez, who with a following of 145 million on Instagram, charges $1,107,000 per sponsored post.
The 26-year-old's popularity stems her music and movies including endorsements with global brands such as Coach and Puma.
