Gigi Hadid designs for Tommy Hilfiger
Not all models make great designers. For every Kate Moss team-up with Topshop or Elle Macpherson lingerie collection there’s a gigantic pile of landfill somewhere with a runway veteran’s signature on the clothes label.

A sneak look at model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid’s collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger suggests that the blonde beauty might be the exception to the runway-to-rags rule, with a preppy capsule collection of classic pieces given a modern twist.
The TommyXGigi collection will appear in full on the runway at New York Fashion Week on September 9 before arriving in Australian stores from September 12.

The NYFW show is part of Hilfiger’s move towards a see-now, buy-now runway presentation, following in the steps of Burberry. The show will be live-streamed on tommy.com.
