Fashion's freshest faces: Lara

Lara, 17, is the final profile in a series of Honey shoots introducing the new wave of Australian models.

"Those tall genes run in the family," Rick Matthew from Priscillas Model Management says of Lara Carter. (The 17-year-old was scouted while supporting her brother at a basketball game.)

"Once you get past her tall stature, you get lost in a strong yet beautiful face with those almond eyes and colouring."

Her mix of Russian-Chinese and Australian heritage also caught the eye of power casting agent Ashley Brokaw, who booked Carter exclusively for Prada in February. Following that, she was flown straight to Paris to walk for Louis Vuitton.

Originally from Dubbo – where both her parents still live and where she spends her school holidays – Carter is about to start her final year of high school at Wenona School in North Sydney.

After that? Expect to see a lot more of that captivating face.
