Fashion students strip down Jackie O after runway cameo

Long before The Kyle and Jackie O Show even hit airways, Jackie O was hitting runways.

In footage from 2001, a young Jackie O struts her stuff for Charlie Brown’s Australian Fashion Week show. With big hair, illuminated skin and a halterneck dress, Jackie looks every inch the noughties model.

Interviewed recently about her cameo, the radio host said, “It was a real eye opener being backstage, those quick changes are hectic! You have about three fashion students per model that strip you down naked as soon as you come off stage.”  

Jackie followed quite literally in the footsteps of fashion greats Linda Evangelista, Sophie Dahl, Jerry Hall and Jade Jagger, who all also walked for Charlie Brown.

When ask what her favourite moment from Fashion Week has been, Jackie said “Linda Evangelista modelling for Alex Perry was definitely a highlight. I grew up during the supermodel era so it was a real ‘pinch me’ moment.”
