Sarah Jessica Parker
In fairness, this dress was worn by Carrie Bradshaw, but it's Sarah Jessica Parker who brought it to life.
Parker's Sex and the City character wore plenty of memorable outfits on the show – fashion was practically the fifth character outside the main quartet of women – but this is easily one of the most iconic.
The Christian Dior newsprint dress, part of the label's 2000 collection, appeared in an episode of the series that aired the same year.
Fans will remember the dress appeared in a scene where Carrie confronted Mr Big's wife, Natasha, over lunch after she discovered their affair.
The outfit become so embedded in the show's lore that it made a return years later...
Carrie dusted the dress off once again in the Sex and the City 2 movie, which came out a decade later in 2010.
Now, 15 years on, it's had yet another outing – this time, thanks to one of Hollywood's brightest young stars.
Jenna Ortega
Jenna Ortega wore the iconic Dior dress for the premiere of Hurry Up Tomorrow in New York on May 13, 2025.
The Wednesday star is an ambassador for the fashion house, so it's not an entirely surprising move.
Ortega accessorised the garment with gold strappy heels and a necklace.

Liz Hurley
Elizabeth Hurley had heads turning when she arrived at the Fifth Avenue Versace boutique opening party in 1996, wearing this show-stopping red animal print dress.
She paired the silk chiffon gown with a smoky eye, black bag and the ultimate accessory - actor Hugh Grant - on her arm.
It was an iconic outfit and one fans were thrilled to see back in the spotlight 28 years later...
Halsey
... when singer Halsey arrived at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards in the exact same Swarovski-beaded gown.
Taken from Versace's fall 1996 couture collection, it was the first time the dress had been worn since Hurley donned it decades prior.
"This dress was a miracle to find. This was designed by Gianni Versace for Elizabeth Hurley in 1996," Halsey told MTV.
"It hasn't been worn by anybody else until now, and I'm loving it."
Elizabeth Hurley
It's not the only time celebrities have looked to Hurley's '90s looks for style inspiration.
In 1999, the model and actress appeared at the CFDA Awards in this striking pink chain mail dress also designed by Versace and 25 years later, someone equally famous copied the look...
Kylie Jenner
... that someone was Kylie Jenner, who donned a silver version of the frock for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
"Cuuutest night w the cutest girls in a little 1999 Versace," Jenner captioned this sultry selfie in the archival gown.
She paired it with neutral makeup, loose waves and sparkling diamond jewellery.
Elizabeth Hurley
The unofficial queen of Versace in the '90s, Hurley's most famous look was arguably this iconic figure-hugging safety pin gown.
She wore it to the London premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral with her then-boyfriend, Hugh Grant, and very much stole the show in the plunging look.
And 29 years later, someone recreated the look with a new spin...
