French Connection ventures into bridalwear

French Connection is the latest affordable clothing brand to venture into budget-friendly bridalwear.

The British brand has announced plans to launch a line of inexpensive bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses in February 2018.

With prices ranging from $110 to $430, the line aims to target style conscious brides who don’t want to break the bank.

Whether you opt for a dreamy, Bohemian-inspired gown a la Kate Moss or channel Bianca Jagger in sleek separates, there is something to suit the style of any bride-to-be.

The decision to launch an affordable bridalwear range was inspired by the number of French Connection customers who have been buying pieces from the brand’s ready-to-wear line for their weddings.

"In recent years, we’ve seen customers making purchases from French Connection's main collections for their weddings," French Connection’s design director, Maria Chen told British Vogue.

"Shoppers are able to buy affordable pieces in every other category except bridal, so it felt like a natural progression to launch a wedding capsule."

French Connection joins other high-street brands such as Topshop, ASOS and Whistles who have all released budget-friendly bridal ranges in recent years.
