Woolworths release ultra rare Bricks collectible that could be worth hundreds

Get ready to have your own Willy Wonka moment, and find your own golden treasure thanks to Woolworths.

The supermarket giant has announced it has just released an ultra rare character in its Bricks Farm collection.

With just 100 of the Golden Farmer and Wheelbarrow in circulation across Australia, the collectible will be highly sought after.

So much so Woolworths is encouraging shoppers to double-check they aren't already among the lucky few who will net one.

"The ultra rare Golden Farmer and Wheelbarrow bricks are now in circulation, and we encourage customers to check their collections in case they have already found one," said Woolworths Senior Manager Continuity and Collectibles, Paul Stibbard.

"It's been fantastic to see the excitement from our customers about the return of our popular collectible, Woolworths Bricks."

The Bricks collectibles launched last month, which Woolworths said was a way to encourage kids to learn more about where our food is grown and to 'celebrate Aussie farmers'.

There are 40 pieces to collect, with customers earning one pack for every $30 spent in store, with pieces ranging from a farmer, a beekeeper, fruit and vegetable buyer, farm animals an even 'Odd Bunch' fruit and veg.

Woolworths' collectibles were hugely successful when they were first launched in 2021.

Many of these were traded online for high prices, including the delivery truck which shoppers could purchase for $10/$15 (depending on size) in-store, but which were being sold for upwards of $70 online.

Previously, ultra rare Ooshies, like the rare glitter Elsa, had been listed for up to $15,000 on eBay.

Original Bricks collectors were able to build a full replica of a green-friendly Woolies supermarket, which featured solar panels, checkout registers, car charging stations, trolleys and even 'Free Fruit for Kids' baskets.

The Bricks became a cult obsession for Woolies shoppers. The supermarket introduced 500 'rare' Woolworths Bricks packs, with limited edition collectibles such as the "Gold Trolley and Figurine" becoming hot property amongst collectors/

Woolworths says Brick Farm is made using 100 per cent recycled plastic taken from pre-loved items such as fridges, safety goggles and even luggage handles.
